CHOOSE YOUR SOLUTION

Window graphics and lettering: branding, a promotion or privacy?

Lettering and cut logos suit names, opening hours and simple messages without covering the whole pane. Think about contrast against what is behind the glass.

Printed graphics and decals suit images, offers and campaign artwork. Decide whether you want a small graphic, a clear-background effect or more extensive coverage.

Frosted film creates an obscured-glass appearance for partitions, doors and selected window areas. Choose the coverage around the privacy required, not just a decorative pattern.

One-way vision is not a promise of all-day privacy

Perforated window graphics combine printed areas with small viewing openings. The apparent one-way effect depends on lighting: privacy can reduce or disappear when the room is brighter than outside. If privacy after dark matters, say so before selecting the film and check a proposed solution under the actual lighting.

Contra Vision’s technical FAQs explain these lighting limits. This is product-selection guidance, not a claim that a particular film brand is supplied.

Coordinate the glass with the rest of the space

Keep door information, shopfront graphics and internal branding consistent. For the sign above the glazing, explore building and storefront signs. For office identification and directions, see reception and interior signs.

Explore window graphics and lettering services

These services overlap, but their starting points differ: a complete frontage, individual lettering, promotional decals or privacy film. Select the closest option and include the other requirements in the same enquiry.

window graphics in dubai

Window graphics

Plan a coordinated graphic across one pane or a whole frontage. Share the viewing direction, shop layout and areas that should remain clear. Printed colours, opacity and pane divisions all affect how the message will appear from the street.

One-way vision window graphics

Explore perforated graphics when outward visibility and a printed exterior message both matter. Discuss lighting, viewing distance and the chosen film’s specification. Do not rely on the name alone for night-time privacy or an unrestricted view.

Window lettering

Add a business name, opening hours, contact details or door instructions to glass. Check letter size, colour, position and which side should read correctly. The layout should remain legible against changing light and the interior background.

vinyl lettering in dubai

Vinyl lettering

Use individually cut letters or simple shapes for a clean message without a full printed background. This service also covers suitable non-glass surfaces; identify the actual substrate so the vinyl and adhesive can be assessed for it.

window decals & graphics in dubai

Window decals & graphics

Use shaped logos, promotional messages or seasonal artwork on selected areas of glass. Include the campaign dates and replacement plan. Check whether the chosen material is intended for short-term removal rather than assuming every decal is reusable.

Window frosting

Discuss full-panel frosting, bands, patterns or logo details for office and shop glazing. Mark the areas where privacy matters and any clear openings to retain. Review coverage and the proposed finish in the actual setting before approving.

Prepare a pane-by-pane window brief

Number the panes on a frontage photo and give each one its own measurements and purpose. This avoids treating frames, door gaps and separate panels as one continuous printing area. Initial measurements help with a quotation; agree who verifies final production sizes.

  • Location and photos: share the site address and straight-on views from inside and outside.
  • Dimensions: list the width and height of each glass area, noting frames, handles and other obstructions.
  • Purpose: identify branding, opening hours, a promotion or privacy, including any need after dark.
  • Glass details: provide the glass specification if known, and flag tint, coatings, existing film or visible damage.
  • Artwork: supply logos, approved wording and language versions, plus the intended viewing side.
  • Scope and timing: include quantity, display period, access restrictions and any old-film removal or installation required.

Check glass and film compatibility before production

Not every adhesive film is appropriate for every pane. The glass construction, coatings, existing treatments and exposure need consideration. If the specification is unknown, ask the property manager or glazing supplier for details rather than guessing. Damaged glass or an existing film layer should be flagged before work is agreed.

3M’s window and glass graphics overview distinguishes perforated, transparent and other graphic-film options. The selected product’s current technical guidance—not the generic term “window sticker”—should inform the proposal. A decorative graphic should not be represented as a certified solar-control, security or safety-glazing solution without the appropriate specification and evidence.

Inside application and outside application are different briefs

Say where viewers will stand and which glass face is accessible. A graphic fitted inside and read from outside needs an appropriate print and adhesive arrangement; reversing the artwork alone does not make every film suitable. Check how tint, reflections and interior lighting affect the result.

Plan artwork across pane divisions instead of letting a frame interrupt a logo or phone number. Allow for doors opening and for handles, access controls and essential notices. For Arabic and English layouts, approve both language versions, text direction and the balance of space before printing. Translation or language checking needs a separately agreed scope.

Agree installation, permissions and removal responsibilities

Check the landlord, building or shopping-centre requirements for the proposed graphics, access and working hours. Ask the responsible property team which approvals apply to the specific location and message; a glass graphic is not automatically exempt from advertising rules.

Separate new graphics from removal of old film, adhesive cleanup, access equipment and installation in the quote. Removability depends on the selected product, its age and the condition of the underlying surface. Do not assume removal will leave no residue or that a removed graphic can be reapplied.

At handover, ask for the selected film’s care instructions and any restrictions on cleaning while it settles. Check a documented warranty scope if one is offered, rather than relying on a generic lifespan claim for all Dubai windows.

What affects the cost of window graphics?

The covered area is only one part of the price. Pane count, material, print coverage, cut detail, artwork preparation, existing-film removal and installation access can change the scope. A small set of door hours is a different job from aligned graphics across several shopfront panes.

Send photos and the pane list for an itemised quotation, and flag your opening or campaign date early. Timing is confirmed against the artwork, materials and site arrangements. UAE enquiries are welcome; delivery and onsite work outside Dubai are agreed per project.

FROM BRIEF TO HANDOVER

From glass survey to approved graphics

Keep the pane list, artwork proof and installation scope together so the finished graphics match the agreed layout.

  1. Define each pane’s purpose
Share photos, dimensions, glass details and privacy or branding goals.
  2. Agree the film and scope
Check suitability, coverage, viewing side, removal and installation needs.
  3. Approve the pane layouts
Check wording, languages, position and final sizes before production.
  4. Coordinate fitting and care
Check site access, handover checks and product-specific cleaning guidance.

Window graphics and frosting questions

Lettering uses individual letters or shapes for focused information such as a name or opening hours. Printed graphics can carry images, colour backgrounds and more complex artwork. Choose around the message, desired glass coverage and viewing distance; they can be combined on the same frontage.

Not reliably by default. The effect depends on relative lighting, and privacy can reduce or disappear when the interior is brighter than outside. Explain your after-dark requirements and assess the proposed material in those conditions before relying on it for privacy.

Frosting is commonly considered when obscuring the view through selected glass areas is the priority. Perforated graphics combine a printed message with some through-visibility, subject to lighting. Compare the required privacy, design and viewing conditions rather than treating them as interchangeable products.

Some systems are designed for that arrangement. Check the intended viewing side, film, adhesive and print specification before production. Glass tint, reflections and lighting can affect visibility; simply mirroring artwork is not sufficient for every material.

Removal can be assessed as part of the job. Send photos and any known details of the old film, its age and the glass beneath it. Agree removal, residue cleanup and new graphics separately; damage-free removal or reuse of the old graphic should not be assumed.

Yes, the layout can include both languages. Provide approved text and check spelling, numbers, text direction and spacing in the final proof. Check whether translation or language checking is included, and make sure each version remains readable at the intended size.

Do not assume that it does. Branding or privacy graphics are not automatically a specified solar-control or safety system. If heat reduction, glass retention or another performance requirement matters, raise it separately and ask for the appropriate product specification and evidence.

Cost depends on the film, coverage, number of panes, print or cut detail, artwork work and installation access. Existing-film removal can add a separate task. Send photos and dimensions for each pane so the quotation can identify materials, production and any agreed site work.
