Signage Design Services in Dubai
Signage design for shopfronts, offices, receptions and buildings in Dubai. Send your logo, brand files and site photos, and we turn them into scaled sign drawings that show the real size, materials and lighting before production.

Signage design: design the sign for its setting
A useful signage design connects your message, the viewer and the physical place. Before choosing a layout, identify the sign’s main job: help people find a business, direct them through a building, explain an offer or carry a vehicle identity. The same logo can need a different treatment at a reception desk, on a shopfront or across a vehicle door. Start with the installed dimensions, viewing angle, lighting and any restrictions at the site.
Shopfront and exterior signage
Share a straight-on frontage photo, approximate fascia size, neighbouring signs and any landlord criteria. Decide what a passing customer needs to read first: business name, category, entrance or contact detail. The artwork should be checked against the actual façade, not a generic storefront mock-up. If illumination, projecting structures or a permit is relevant, agree who investigates those items before design is approved. See storefront signage and signage plans and permits for adjacent scopes.
Reception, directional and interior signs
For a lobby, clinic, office or retail interior, map the visitor journey before laying out individual panels. Group destinations consistently, keep contrast and type size appropriate to the viewing distance, and consider mounting location, glare and background colour. Accessibility requirements vary by site and authority, so confirm the applicable specification rather than assuming one sign format fits every building. Explore reception signs and wayfinding signs.
Vehicle, event and printed displays
Vehicle graphics must be designed around doors, curves, handles, windows and required markings. Event graphics need dimensions for the actual stand, fabric wall or banner hardware and a clear priority for information seen at different distances. Ask for a scale proof before artwork is released. Vehicle branding and event displays have their own material and installation considerations.
From brief to production-ready artwork
1. Gather reliable source material
Send vector logo files if available, brand colours, exact wording, reference images, target size and photographs of the proposed installation area. A small JPEG may be useful for a discussion but may not be suitable as production artwork. Note existing signs, seams, electrical points, doors and anything that the design must avoid. If measurements are approximate, label them as such until a site check is complete.
2. Set the message hierarchy and languages
Decide which words must be recognised immediately and which details can be read at close range. Proof names, phone numbers, URLs and directional arrows carefully. If the sign is bilingual, supply the final approved Arabic and English text; translation and language checking should have a named owner in the brief. Check reading order and spacing at the installed size, not only in a desktop preview.
3. Match the design to material and light
Letter thickness, fine detail, colours and image resolution depend on the chosen production method and substrate. An illuminated sign, cut-vinyl panel and printed banner will not reproduce a file identically. Agree whether the proof shows a proposed material and finish or only a visual concept. If colour matching matters, request a physical sample or test print where the project scope allows it.
4. Approve the proof and handover
Check who can approve the final layout, how many concepts and revisions are included, and what format the final files will be supplied in. A useful production handover identifies final dimensions, version, colours, materials or specifications when agreed, and placement notes. Fabrication should start only from the approved version. Any permit, landlord or operator approval is distinct from visual sign-off and must be obtained by the responsible party.
What affects the design price and schedule?
Cost depends on the number of signs and concepts, the quality of source artwork, complexity of bilingual layouts, dimensional survey needs, revision rounds and the required production files. Fabrication, permit drawings, material samples, delivery and installation may be separately priced. Ask for an itemised quotation and a clear approval point; avoid committing to a production date until artwork, site constraints and responsibilities are agreed.

Signage design questions
What is included in a signage design quote?
The scope should state the sign type, number of layouts, dimensions, artwork preparation, proof stages, revisions and agreed file handover. Site survey, fabrication, permits and installation are separate items unless they are explicitly included in the written quotation.
Can you work from my existing logo or brand guidelines?
Send the best-quality logo and brand files you have, ideally vector artwork, plus the colours and typefaces to follow. If only a small image is available, the team can review whether it can be used at the required size or needs separate artwork preparation.
Can the artwork include Arabic and English?
Yes, provide the exact approved wording in both languages and say which should lead. The layout should allow each script to read naturally at the installed size. The client should arrange competent language review and approve spelling, order and meaning before production.
What measurements do you need before designing a sign?
Share clear straight-on and context photos, the available width and height, mounting surface, viewing distance and any landlord or site rules. Final production dimensions and fixing details may need a site survey; a photograph alone is not a reliable scale.
Does signage design include fabrication or installation?
Not automatically. Design, material selection, manufacturing, delivery and fitting should be listed as separate or clearly bundled items in the quote. Agree who supplies the final production file and who checks it against the approved proof.
Will a design be approved for my storefront or building?
Artwork approval by the customer does not grant an advertising or building permit. The owner, landlord or authorised operator should confirm the current authority requirements and obtain written approvals before fabrication. Permit support is included only if it is in the agreed scope.
How many changes can I make to the design?
The number of concepts and revision rounds should be agreed in the quotation. Gather all stakeholder comments into one response at each proof stage; changes after final approval or production may need a new price and schedule.
Can I enquire from another UAE emirate?
Yes. Share the emirate, full site address, sign type and target date.
