Van wraps and van branding in Dubai

On this page: van wraps

Van wraps and van branding turn your delivery or service van into a moving ad. Choose a full wrap, partial graphics or lettering, designed, printed and fitted in Dubai.

Van branding: choose the right coverage for your van

The best layout starts with what a customer must recognise in a few seconds: your trading name, the service and one clear contact route. Keep these legible on both the long side and the rear, where the viewing distance and panel space differ. Proof Arabic and English wording against the actual vehicle and any current approval requirements.

Cut lettering and simple logos

For a restrained trade van, cut vinyl lettering can carry a business name, phone number and service line on the doors or side panels. It uses less material than a printed wrap and can be easier to update when a contact detail changes. See vehicle lettering if your brief is primarily text and logo.

Partial van graphics

A partial design can use colour blocks or printed imagery around the main side panel while leaving much of the original paint visible. Define exactly which doors, rear panels and upper areas are included. Avoid placing essential information across a sliding-door seam, handle or fuel flap. The design should still make sense when a door is open.

Wider or full wraps

A wider wrap creates a stronger unified finish but needs more print, preparation, fitting time and edge planning. A full wrap does not make damaged paint sound, and it should not cover required vehicle details, lights, plates or sensors. Windows need their own review; one-way vision graphics are a separate product, not a default part of an opaque body wrap.

Several vans, one recognisable fleet

Record the make, model, year and roof height for every vehicle. A single master brand system can be adapted, but side-panel lengths, door openings and rear hardware need model-specific proofs. For a phased rollout or mixed vehicles, see corporate fleet graphics and keep approved artwork revisions for later additions or repairs.

Your van branding quote checklist

  • Van make, model, year, roof height and quantity
  • Photos of both sides, rear and current paint
  • Areas to brand: doors, panels, rear and windows
  • Logo, copy and Arabic/English brand files
  • Existing graphics, dents, repairs or repainting
  • Vehicle location and time available off the road

Tell us whether this is your own trade identity, third-party advertising or a temporary campaign, and share any operator or permit requirements.

Design around real doors, panels and use

A van is not a flat billboard. Map the artwork around sliding-door travel, hinges, handles, panel recesses, wheel arches, roof lines, cameras and parking sensors. Treat the rear as its own small layout: it is often seen from closer range, but door joins, lights and registration details interrupt the message. Ask for side and rear mock-ups on the exact model before print.

Service vans, delivery vans and passenger vans have different windows and loading patterns. If stock photos or temporary offers are part of the brief, decide which information may change later. Keep critical text large and simple; use photos only where they remain clear at real viewing distance. Coordinate van graphics with your car branding or other fleet vehicles without copying dimensions from one body to another.

Check the vehicle before promising a finish

Share close photos of old decals, paint chips, rust, dents, repairs and any recent repainting. Surface condition affects adhesion and removal risk. 3M’s vehicle application bulletin includes pre-installation inspection guidance for paint and surface defects; it is a technical reference, not a claim that Al Burooj uses a particular film. The material and method must be selected for the actual vehicle and current manufacturer instructions.

Check whether old graphics and adhesive removal, cleaning, panel repair or trim removal are included in the quote. Ask which film and laminate are proposed, where joins will be visible and how curved or recessed areas will be finished. Installation space, weather, vehicle access and post-fit care affect scheduling; do not assume a wrap can be fitted or released within a fixed period without a survey.

Approvals, price and handover

Check the current Dubai advertising route

Mada Media’s commercial vehicle advertising service lists documentation and conditions for vehicle stickers and wraps in Dubai. The authorised vehicle owner or operator should confirm the current category, design, trade-licence details and approvals for the proposed use before production. A graphics quotation does not include a permit unless expressly agreed. For other emirates, the responsible owner should check local requirements separately.

Quote by vehicle and coverage

Ask for an itemised scope covering design, model adaptations, print or cut vinyl, film and laminate, removal and preparation, installation, travel and any permit support. A door-logo set, partial wrap and wider wrap have different material and labour needs. Fleet quantity alone does not fix the unit price when models and paint condition vary.

Approve the proof and keep the records

Before printing, check the trading name, Arabic and English copy, contact number, panel boundaries and rear-door layout. Record the approved artwork version, material choice, exclusions, vehicle release date and care instructions. Van wraps and branding questions

Send the make, model, year, roof height and quantity, photos of both sides and rear, the areas to brand, logo and wording, current paint condition, vehicle location and available downtime. Mention any old graphics or recent repainting.

Choose by the message, coverage and budget. Lettering can carry a clear business name and contact route; a partial wrap adds colour or imagery; a wider wrap covers more painted panels and needs more preparation and fitting time. Share the vehicle so each option can be scoped.

The brand system can be consistent, but each model needs its own proof. Door positions, panel lengths, roof heights, windows and rear hardware vary. Group vans by body type and approve each layout before printing.

Condition must be reviewed first. Chips, rust, filler, poor paint adhesion and recent repainting can affect film adhesion and removal risk. Send close photos; repair, preparation or an excluded panel may be needed before a finish can be specified.

Do not assume so. Windows, windscreens, mirrors, lights, plates, cameras and required markings need separate treatment and may be restricted. Tell us if you want window graphics so the material and current approval requirements can be reviewed.

The proposed vehicle use and artwork should be checked against Mada Media’s current commercial-vehicle advertising requirements. The authorised owner or operator should confirm the applicable permit and documents before production. Permit handling is not included unless the quotation says so.

Pricing depends on van size, coverage, artwork, material, laminate, surface condition, old-graphic removal, fleet variations and fitting access. Request an itemised quote for the actual vehicle; a door-logo set and a wide printed wrap are not comparable scopes.

Yes. Share the emirate, vehicle location, number of vans and release windows. Delivery or onsite fitting availability and any local approval requirements are confirmed for the specific project.

Check the lease or fleet policy and obtain written approval from the vehicle owner or authorised fleet manager before artwork or installation is booked. Ask whether graphics, removal and any paint-condition obligations are permitted. A removable film is not a promise that removal will be damage-free; inspect the actual paint and agree restoration responsibility first.
