Sign Installation Services in Dubai

Sign installation for shopfronts, offices, malls and building fascias in Dubai. Share the sign details and site photos, and we plan delivery, fixings, access and power, check the mounting surface, then install your sign.

Plan the installation around the sign and the site

A reception logo, a shopfront fascia and an illuminated building sign do not share one fixing or access method. Start with the actual sign construction, dimensions, approximate weight and mounting location. Then check the surface, available working space, power and any property conditions. We can scope the installation once those facts are clear; a visual mock-up alone is not enough to approve a fixing detail.

Shopfront and exterior signs

Share photographs of the full frontage and close views of the proposed fixing area, plus the sign drawings and dimensions. Tell us whether the fascia is an existing frame, cladding or another surface, and whether old signage must be removed. If the sign projects, illuminates or affects the façade, confirm landlord or authority conditions before fabrication and fitting. Explore storefront signage and permit support as separate parts of the project.

Interior lettering and displays

Reception letters, direction signs and display panels need the correct placement for the visitor journey as well as a compatible mounting surface. Send wall or glass photos, final sizes and any restrictions on drilling, adhesives or working hours. For a functioning workspace, arrange access with the building operator and agree what must be protected, moved or reinstated after the work. See reception signs and wayfinding signs.

Illuminated and powered signs

Power availability and electrical connection are additional scope questions. Supply the approved sign specification and site information about the intended connection point. Any electrical design, connection or testing must be assigned to an appropriately qualified party and shown clearly in the quotation. Do not assume that buying an illuminated sign includes the building-side electrical work or authority sign-off.

From site review to handover

1. Verify dimensions, substrate and access

We review the sign information against site photographs and, where required, arrange a survey before finalising a method or price. Installation height, surface condition, existing fixings, power and working space can change the plan. Note service ducts, entrances, pedestrians and operating hours so access can be coordinated. Photos and estimates are helpful for a first quote, but final measurements must be checked for production and fitting.

2. Check permissions and specialist responsibilities

Obtain written permission from the property owner or operator and any other approvals applicable to the sign. If work needs to occupy a footpath, parking area or other right-of-way, review RTA’s right-of-way permit service with the responsible installer; it lists fixing advertisements among possible works, but applicability depends on the location and scope. Structural, electrical or access requirements must be reviewed by the relevant qualified people. A customer-approved artwork proof is not an installation permit.

3. Agree the written installation scope

The quote should state whether it includes delivery, lifting or access equipment, removal of the existing sign, fixing materials, electrical work, making-good, disposal and any after-hours attendance. Check who supplies the sign and approved drawing, who responds if a site condition differs from the brief, and what happens if the landlord or authority requires a change. Avoid treating an unqualified fixed price as a site survey.

4. Inspect the finished work

After fitting, check the agreed position, visible finish and any commissioned functions against the approved scope. Keep relevant drawings, product information and warranty or maintenance details supplied for the project. Report a loose, damaged or unlit sign promptly rather than attempting an unsafe repair; maintenance and repair can be discussed separately.

What affects installation cost and scheduling?

Price depends on sign dimensions and construction, number of locations, site survey, installation height, access constraints, fixing surface, delivery, removal, power and the working window. Permit or landlord review can also affect the date. Ask for an itemised scope; no installation date is confirmed until the sign, site and required permissions are ready.

Sign-installation questions

Send the sign type, dimensions and approximate weight if known, approved artwork or drawings, clear site photographs, installation height, mounting surface, full address, access times and target date. Tell us whether delivery, removal of an old sign, electrical work or permit coordination is needed.

Possibly, subject to reviewing its condition, dimensions, construction, fixing information and the site. Ask for a written scope that identifies who is responsible for the supplied sign, any required technical checks and the installation work. We should not promise compatibility from a photograph alone.

Not automatically. Power availability, connections, controls and any testing must be reviewed for the project and assigned to an appropriately qualified party. The quotation should separate the sign, electrical work and any necessary approvals rather than assuming they are all included.

That depends on the site, sign type and work involved. A customer-approved design is not necessarily permission to mount a sign. Obtain any written landlord, developer, free-zone or public-authority approvals that apply, and confirm who is responsible for the application and fees before scheduling installation.

Installation height changes the access and technical review needed. Provide the height, elevation photographs and information about available working space. Equipment, specialist review and any site restrictions must be assessed and priced for the actual location; this page is not a work-at-height method statement.

Removal can be scoped separately. Share photographs of the old sign and fixing points, its size and any electrical connection, plus any instructions from the property owner. Ask the quote to state whether removal, making-good and disposal are included.

If the work needs part of a public right-of-way, a separate access permission may be relevant. RTA describes a right-of-way permit service that can cover fixing advertisements, but the requirements depend on the exact work and location. Check the applicable route before booking equipment or an installation date.

Al Burooj is based in Al Quoz, Dubai. Send the emirate, full site address, sign type and target date so survey, delivery and installation availability can be confirmed for that project. Requirements outside Dubai should be checked locally rather than inferred from Dubai guidance.
