3D Signage and 3D Letters in Dubai
Custom 3D sign boards and 3D letters for shopfronts, reception walls and offices in Dubai. Choose acrylic, aluminium, stainless steel or built up letters, with or without LED lighting. Send your logo and a wall photo and we will suggest the material, depth and fixing. See Painted Solid Acrylic Letters and Solid Stainless Steel Letters.

3D signage: custom 3D signs that give your brand a physical presence
3D signage uses raised letters, logos or shapes instead of a flat printed face. The depth, edge finish and shadows become part of the design. It can be a compact acrylic logo behind a reception desk, brushed metal lettering at an entrance or a built-up sign above a shopfront.
The right construction depends on the artwork, viewing distance and surface. Start with the overall width and where people will see the sign. A close-view interior logo needs careful edge finishing and spacing; a frontage needs a readable shape and strong contrast from the main approach. Our reception signs and shopfront signage services cover those different settings.
Choose the letter construction, material and finish
Flat-cut acrylic and metal letters
Flat-cut letters are cut from sheet material, so their depth follows the selected sheet thickness. Acrylic can create a clean coloured face, while metal offers finishes such as brushed or polished surfaces. Layered construction can combine a coloured base with a contrasting face. Explore dimensional lettering for raised, non-illuminated options.
Built-up letters and logo shapes
Built-up letters have a fabricated face and sides, allowing more depth than a thin sheet alone. The profile should suit the size of the logo and the mounting position. Small details, thin strokes and tight internal corners may need an approved adjustment to make fabrication practical. Agree the depth and how visible joints will be finished before production.
Metal finishes and mixed materials
Brushed, painted and reflective finishes create different effects under the same light. Choose a finish that contrasts with the wall and fits the cleaning needs of the location. Ask to review an actual material sample where appearance is important. For a metal-led design, compare our custom metal signs.
Illuminated or non-illuminated 3D signage?
Non-illuminated letters rely on daylight or the room’s lighting to reveal their shape and depth. They can suit offices and entrances that already have suitable lighting. Check the wall contrast and any shadows from nearby fittings before deciding on colour and finish.
Illuminated designs add another set of choices. Face-lit letters light the characters themselves; halo-lit letters cast light onto the wall behind them. The wall texture, colour and letter spacing influence the result. See 3D illuminated letters for lighting options, or channel letter signs for the related built-up format. Check power supply, cable routes and maintenance access as part of the brief.
Plan the artwork, fixing method and installation
Send a vector logo, approved wording and brand colours wherever possible. Include the approved Arabic and English versions if both are required. A scaled layout should show the overall dimensions, letter spacing and position on the wall. If the existing artwork needs preparation, discuss our signage design service before fabrication.
The mounting surface matters as much as the face of the sign. Painted masonry, cladding, glass and internal partitions require different fixing assessments. Share wide and close-up site photos, the installation height and any restrictions on drilling. Individual letters and a shared backing panel have different visual and practical consequences; agree the approach in the quotation.
For an exterior sign, confirm materials, coatings and fixings appropriate to the actual exposure. Check landlord or building-management requirements and establish who handles any required approvals. Our sign installation service can be discussed alongside fabrication, including site access, working hours and any access equipment needed.
How to order your 3D letters
- Share your brief. Send the logo, approximate width, site photos, full location and required date. Tell us whether the sign is indoors or outdoors and whether lighting is needed.
- Agree the specification. Review materials, depth, finish, mounting and any lighting details. Check how final dimensions will be checked.
- Approve the artwork and scope. Check spelling, both language versions, proportions and spacing. Check fabrication, delivery, installation and any electrical responsibilities in writing.
- Coordinate fitting and handover. Arrange site access, compare the installed sign with the approved layout and request cleaning guidance for the selected finish.
What affects the cost of 3D signs in Dubai?
Pricing depends on overall size, number of letters, logo complexity, material, depth and finish. Illumination, backing panels, artwork preparation, removal of existing signs and installation access can also affect the total. There is no useful single price for every 3D logo: a small acrylic reception sign and a large illuminated facade need different fabrication and fitting work. Lead time is confirmed after artwork, materials, approvals and site arrangements are agreed.

Questions about 3D signs and lettering
What is the difference between flat-cut and built-up letters?
Flat-cut letters use the thickness of a sheet material. Built-up letters have fabricated sides and a face, creating a deeper profile and, in suitable designs, space for lighting components.
Can my existing logo be made into a 3D sign?
Many logos can be adapted, but fine details and thin strokes need a fabrication review at the intended size. Supply vector artwork and approve any changes before production.
Which material is best for a reception wall?
That depends on the colour, finish, depth and wall contrast you want. Acrylic offers coloured faces; metal offers brushed, painted or reflective appearances. Review material samples against the actual wall where possible.
Can 3D letters be used outdoors?
Yes, when the complete construction is specified for the location. Materials, coatings, mounting and any lighting components must suit the exposure and installation conditions.
Do all 3D signs need lighting?
No. Non-illuminated letters can work well with suitable ambient light and good background contrast. Lighting is an optional design decision, not a requirement for a sign to be three-dimensional.
Does the quotation include installation?
Installation is included only when listed in the agreed scope. Ask for delivery, mounting, access equipment, removal and electrical responsibilities to be stated clearly so quotations can be compared fairly.
Does an exterior 3D shop sign need approval in Dubai?
Approval requirements depend on the exact site and authority. The Dubai Development Authority, for example, lists ground-floor shop signage under its advertising permit service within its free-zone jurisdiction. Ask the landlord or developer for the site rules before fabrication, and confirm who will prepare and submit any required application. Our signage permit support is included only if agreed in the quotation.
