Diwali 2026 falls on Sunday 8 November 2026. The UAE is home to one of the largest Indian communities in the world, and the Festival of Lights is celebrated in offices, shops, schools and homes across Dubai and the other emirates. For many businesses it is also the start of the gifting season. This guide shares easy ideas for greeting cards, gift packaging and shop decor that you can order from Al Burooj Advertising.

Diwali 2026 dates

Friday 6 November: Dhanteras, a popular day for buying gold and new items.
Sunday 8 November: Diwali (Lakshmi Puja).

Puja times can differ slightly by city, so check your local temple or community calendar. Because Diwali falls on a Sunday this year, most offices will celebrate in the week before.

Shop decor and Diwali offers

Jewellery shops, sweet shops, fashion stores and supermarkets often run Diwali offers. Make them easy to see:

Static window clings that you can remove and reuse.
Hanging signs for in store offers.
Roll up banners and A frame signs at the entrance.
Table tents for counters and restaurant tables.
Flyers and postcards for offer leaflets.

Diwali is followed closely by the Dubai Shopping Festival from 4 December, so it pays to plan both together. Read our Dubai Shopping Festival 2026 signage checklist. If you are changing your shop sign itself, read our Dubai shop sign rules guide first.
